No need to close the account, contact Cap One Executive office to get the fee removed permanently by upgrading to QuickSilver. They will do it. I have seen many cases where they have done it.

Laddi-  Will they upgrade to the no AF Quicksilver card with a $2000 CL?

Re: Time to close Cap One?

Close it.  It's not worth the headache of having to deal with Crapital One.  The QuickSilver is obsolete at 1.5% anyway.  Get yourself a 2% card from a prime lender and you wont ever have to deal with the crooks at C1 again.
