To try for a Citi card or not...

I'm currently debating on app'ing for a Citi card. Here's my dilemma:

New mortgage (10/12)

BofA rewards Secured (4/12)

Wal-mart store card (10/12)

US Bank rewards (11/12)

I know my AAoA is very low and my credit has taken a hit. The reason I want to app for a Citi card is for the 0% BT to move some larger purchases to. My gut is telling me to hold off on app'ing for anything for awhile.

My credit scores are currently about 670 due to the new accounts and inquiries. I'm on the fence on whether to app now, or just suck it up and garden for a while.

Cards in my wallet: BofA 1-2-3 Rewards - $3,000 (5/2012), Walmart - $350 (9/2012), Home Depot - $500 (10/2012), US Bank - $1,000 (11/2012)

Re: To try for a Citi card or not...

I was instantly approved with a 6,000 CL with an EQ Fico of 698. But i had 20 inqs and 8 new accounts and they still approved me, not only that but gave me my highest CL to date. Id say go for it!

Re: To try for a Citi card or not...

personally I believe as long as your scores are high enough Citi won't really care. I got 5 cards in about a month Citi Forward being the last approved for $6,500 score was 738 on their scoring system. It was 758 Fico before app spree =)
