Took a Chance and it worked

I recently combine my 2 cap1 cards making my limit 1250. i jus took another tempting change and called the backdoor # and got my limit raised by 300.

im so happy !!!!!!!!

had this card for 7 months and the other for 4 then combined to keep the older age about 2 weeks ago.

just had the urge to try the backdoor number and now ill have a 1550 limit

I recently combined 2 CapOne cards also, for a $1000 total CL.  So this thread made me want to try - I did the request through their automated system, and the recording said I have a card that is not eligible for customer initiated CLIs, but will be reviewed periodically for auto-CLIs. 

Oh well...

soccermom did they hard or soft you?  i just combined my cap1 $1500 cl and cap1 $3000. for total of 4500.  am i greedy to try for 5k?

Lisa, sorry - I just now saw this post. They did not do a hard OR soft pull when I combined the 2 cards or when I requested the CLI through the automated phone system.
