Hello all... I'm thinking about app'ing for a rewards card that points can be redeemed for travel (flights and/or hotel). I've read about the Delta Amex, but would like something that is a bit more broad, if there is anything out there.
My scores aren't the strongest due to a new mortgage and new card. I'm thinking about app'ing for this card next Spring. Just want to start researching.

Cap one venture isn't really a travel card. You earn 2% back which you can use as a deduction against the cost of a travel related purchase. Say you have 20,000 points, then you charge a $300 flight on the card, you end up paying $100 if you use your points. Best travel card seems to be the chase sapphire pref bc of the flexibility to transfer instantaneously to a bunch if diff. Frequent flier & hotel programs. But it's their top tier card so a bit diff. To attain.
Hey All!
I like the BlueSky Preferred card from Amex too. 7500 pts= $100 credit for travel related charges. Also, statement credits for in travel related expenses like baggage and beverage purchases when you use the card.
Hi,
I would like to suggest Chase Priority Club Visa, for Holiday Inn etc. My credit suck as hell, but I got a join account with my mom (Chase Amazon $7k Limit). Thought I would get rejected, but damn 10 sec I got approved =D. BTW I used my email offer, since I'm a priority gold club member.
Wouldn't really recommend the Delta Amex. The sign-up bonus is nice, but Delta's SkyMiles are very frustrating (and not really flexible since you want that). I got it because I live in a Delta hub city, but I still sort of regret and will cancel/PC before the annual fee comes do.
From everything I've heard the CSP seems like the best travel card.

If you want a loyal program card that gives you frequent flier miles and hotel stay credit, Starwood Preferred Guest and Chase Sapphire Preferred are the best. If you frequently stay at hotels, SPG is superior.
But if what you're looking for is general travel rewards that can be redeemed for any type of travels, BankAmericard Travel Rewards is the best among those without an annual fee. However, you'll be better off using a straightforward 2% cash back card if you can get your hands on one.
Delta has the worst loyalty program ever.
Here is another vote for the BoA Travel Rewards. I converted my 123 card and have not looked back. The only thing that would make it better would be a full 2% IN POINTS.
The best Travel card IMO is the CSP. If you're at looking very high end hotels and dont mind an exorbiant annual fee, the Plainum Amex is good for the benefits. The SPG is also good for their Sheratons and transferring point to airline FF. I have a PRG, and with that I can take some of my MR points and transfer them to airline partners. It just depends on who your loyal to (airline and hotels) and what your income and spending are like.
