Hey guys just wanted to throw this out there a week was 4 months since my last CLI. I hit the luv button got the 7-10 message i was shocked got letter today some people may have higher limit. But as of now the card Caps at 20K that was the reason why the CLI wasn't granted guess they trying to limit there exposure. Just thought i would share.

I thought the $20k limit was a well known fact.  It's a perfectly fine card at $20k with the kind of BTs Comenity gives.

Not necessarily and not until recently for some of their V/MC/D cards.  Previous higher CLs were known for cards like Orbitz or Virgin America (long gone/discontinued) that could reach $40K (or higher)...my Orbitz is currently $25K.  The previously "grandfathered" CLs appear to remain where they are, but will not go higher, so a variety of them are now capped at $15K or $20K if they were not grandfathered under the older CLI policy.

Which, IMO, is a decent CL for a CC. Most normal people have no need to charge that much anyways, or it will just invite trouble.

Plus it's not like you can purchase a $30K Automobile with it! lol

I've got $30k on mine, but then I've had it for a few years now.

I just hit the button a couple of days ago and got a $1500 CLI to....$19900 (boy is that going to bug me for the next few months) but it's the same increase I just got on my Coldwater Creek M/C and Good Sam Visa as well. I'll let you know in about 4 more mos. if they let me cross the $20k mark.

Hi @bigpoppa09, a little late to responding to your post, but I received the same message on my TR Visa except my CL at the time was $25K. I posted a question about  the change when it happened. Like you said exposure limit. I just made a note to take them off my request list as they are padding with limited use.
