U.S. Bank CLI

So I called in and asked for CLI since my U.S. Bank FlexPerks hit 6 months mark.

-First CSR doesn't know if it's a hard or soft pull. She put me on-hold then came back with the answer. It will be a hard pull. I thanked her and said then I don't need anymore.

-Call back and talk to another CSR, he said soft pull. The system came back with 7-10 business days message.

Odd thing is the last time when I called (few months ago) to request CLI for my Platinum and BBB card, they didn't pull my credit report. They just checked my usage & approve the request.

Can't wait to get the letter.

Re: U.S. Bank CLI

Congrats!  It would be great if US Bank allow me to product change my Kroger 123 card, since I no longer live in a Kroger area.  I don't feel comfortable using a Kroger card at a Publix without reaping maximum rewards.

They do review accounts.  On my US Bank Platinum Visa last year they sent me a letter offering me a CLI.  I simply called, verified my income and got a $3k CLI with no pull at all.

with US Bank, they treat you personally like a credit union. For example: I applied for a checking account online. My application was forwareded to a local agent. I got an email a day later letting me know that my account is ready & I can contact the agent directly if I have any concerns.

Thank you for your application to open a new U.S. Bank account.  Your application process has been completed and your new account is ready for your use.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.  We appreciate your business and are looking forward to assisting with your future financial needs.

Re: U.S. Bank CLI

Sorry to bring such an old thread back to life.  Did it end up being a Soft pull?  I'm considering calling and requesting a CLI.  It's been $500 for quite a while now (I didn't know you could request a CLI until recently)

I literally just read a thread on myFICO that US Bank grants an automatic CLI of $1500 every 6 months without a hard pull.  Caveat is you have to call and speak to a CSR about it.  I'm going to call tomorrow!
