If her AAOA is 1 year, I'd definitely not be concerned about that.
Keep it. It could pay off eventually. Specially when she closes that BoA. Two AMEX's with responsible use looks pretty to lenders.
Personally, I like the Zync a lot more. The BCE feels kinda... cheap. She'll see.
If I didn't have "too many cards" and the spending to do so, I'd have an AMEX charge card as well.

you say foot in the door.....
If i have a corp business amex card.... would that be considered "foot in the door"?
I'm unsure.
I've seen various posts by people who say it counted and it didn't. It has your name but might not report to your CR.
Maybe someone with a little more experience in that specific aspect will chime in about it.

I think she should keep the BoA for now. She needs a Visa. But like I tell her, MY ideal portfolio is Chase, AMEX, and Discover
I should have clarified... close the BoA eventually.
Chase would be good for her to app for once her AMEX BCE has grown.
They like to match CL's a little too much, so having the Cap1 and a BCE with a few thousand, improves her chances down the road.

BoA is the most convenient bank in MA, wish we had Chase. Maybe eventually she will close it, not not in the near future. CLI requests online with BoA are HPs right?
From what I know, yes.
That's why I've never requested one.
