Hello MF Peeps! I am looking to add the US Bank Altitude Reserve in September, October, or November -- I am open for best approval odds. Data points have been all over the place between myFICO, Reddit, and other websites, etc. US Bank has pulled Experian for me in the past -- I applied for a business card as a "test" and had all bureaus frozen. I'll share data points for all bureaus.

Accounts (Last Year):
My advice would be to pull the trigger in November. While you'll technically be 1/12 on Oct 4th, USB won't count it as such until the 1st of the following month.
We just had a datapoint reported that an app that wasn't processed due to frozen reports was processed when a new app for a different card was submitted at a later time. Seems they process apps on a first in, first out basis. Don't know if this would count for business cards as well or for how long it would stay queued up. Something to keep in mind. You could try calling in to request the app be formally canceled or removed.

Neither Citi nor AMEX report business cards in good standing to the CRAs so while US Bank would see related inquiries they would not see the accounts. The only accounts they would see from the 3 major CRAs would be #3, #4, and #6 above so from their perspective you are 1/6 and 3/12.
It's widely held based on data points that with US Bank a status greater than 1/12 when you apply is an almost certain dealbreaker so for best odds you should hold off on applying for additional cards at least until November and then apply for the Reserve.
When I was approved for my AR they pulled TransUnion.
I would recommend 0 credit card inquiries for at least 6 months and no more then 1 new credit in the previous 12 months.

First, thank you so much for looking at this the same that I have been looking at it. This is not the first time I thought of this, which is why I provided as much info as possible -- including bolding the numbers on the credit cards that I know US Bank will see from the CRAs as well as inquiries in the last 6 months to a year. I appreciate the input on your end! Great to see that you see the same things I see. You are correct on all counts -- I would agree/disagree on the 1/12 because I have seen so many people be accepted for this card with 2/12, 3/12, and even 4/12 across multiple forums. Worst case if I apply in September and am denied, I will just push back the application to October or November.

Thanks for your commenting and for your recommendation. Yes, they can pull from any bureau and are not exclusive to TransUnion as I have seen from varying sources. I am 75% certain they will pull Experian for me and hope the banking relationship will help as well. Thanks again!

Nice to know. Now it looks like
Sept for my Cash+ app instead of August, if I can last that long
