US Bank CLI - SP normally?

So recently i requested a CLI on my Elan card (probably the 8th time i asked total, and only got approved once) but the denial letter said accounts too new and my TU Fico 04 score. I checked my report and no HP on any bureaus. So i was wondering is it normal for US Bank to do SP pulls for increases? I havent ever encountered a HP from asking so far.

On a side note when do lenders consider accounts no longer new? I swear it has to be longer than 6 - 12 mos. Like no matter how old my accounts get they will always deny for this reason. Granted they are new still.

Re: US Bank CLI - SP normally?

Can ask in 6 month intervals, generally up to 1500 will be SP if eligible, not that it's recommended to leave reports thawed upon request, if concerned about the possibility of a pull.

In general, accounts under 2 years are new.

Just qualified 6 month 1.5k SP CLI on Cash Plus last month and on another USB Visa a few weeks prior. YEMV.

Did you do this online (for cash plus?)  The link isn't there under self-service for either mine or my wife's account.

It does say however:

Consolidate debt and save! undefined APR imited time offer on balance transfers.

Think it would be scary to get a balance transfer with an APR of "undefined"!

Re: US Bank CLI - SP normally?

The DW and I applied for a cu visa through a  small credit union in Phoenix (Deer Valley) and we were declined after  Élan ran a TU. Took 3 weeks to get the decline letter. Said our credit history was too short (oldest accounts 6/14) and ONLY on our TU reports DW and I have one medical collection mine for $200 and hers for $700. She has showing at the time $13,000 in total credit and me $17,000 with utilization just under 30%. Now we are both around $30,000 thanks to Am Ex. Élan even had the nerve to enclose secured credit card apps with the decline letters. I may send them back with a nasty comment to their upper mgmt! Ugh!

i think that bank is a waste of time for all of us rebuilders. They are waaaaay too conservative and if they ever decide to grant credit the limit will be so far behind the more aggressive lenders who took a chance on us, the card won't be worth the space it would take up in our wallets. They were my first card when i started credit. I would have to agree they are too conservative. It took me over 2 years for just a 1500 increase and now im still stuck at 2k. Oh well im either going to close them or keep them SD.

No, telephonic request, transferred to csr, it wasn't automated.

csr sounded kinda surprised, 'Oh! the request was approved and is available immediately...' FWICT the odds are better for SP one call approval with requests up to 1.5k, after that seems it may prompt auto U/W review and/or HP.

Yeah, I noted that "undefined" glitch, the link was dead too...they routinely send snail mail BT offers, be sure to enter the code in the offer letter for those that use it, otherwise they may try to play you on the terms.

Re: US Bank CLI - SP normally?

CLI requests are always HP with Elan, in my experience. They pull TU.
