US Bank Cash+ for Amazon...

It's been a while since I've posted! Hello again!

So I'm trying to figure out the best card to use for Amazon purchases...since I feel like I could be getting more than the 1.5% my Freedom Unlimited is giving me (I am heavily invested in UR though, so this may be the best option). I was looking at the Amazon Prime Visa, but then I remembered that the US Bank Cash+ bookstore category used to work for all Amazon purchases. Is this still the case?

I did not know that! Yet another reason to keep this card open. Thanks!

It does.  I use my Cash+ for any Amazon purchases under $150 (otherwise, I use my Amazon Store Card for special financing).

Re: US Bank Cash+ for Amazon...

I've got the Chase Amazon Prime Visa, for 5% cash back if you are a prime member.

If I had t do it again, I'd get the Cash+.  More options and don't have to be a prime member.

Re: US Bank Cash+ for Amazon...

Wait! 5% on Amazon with the bookstore category, and I didn't know this? This is a game changer, and will change that next round. Thank You.

Speaking of next round, I just got an email about choosing your categories.   I'll start a new thread for that.

While there are more options (i.e. non-Amazon bookstores) there are also caps, $2000 spend a quarter shared with your other 5% category.   But if you are under that, and don't need prime, (and don't want two of the other 5% categories!) it is a good choice.
