Re: US Bank ExtendPay $1.00 fee

My email on all three cash plus accounts.

Earn $20 cash back¹ when you split large purchases on your U.S. Bank Cash+® Visa Signature® Card² into fixed monthly payments with no interest and a small, fixed monthly fee.³

I got the $0 plan fee on Connect (and still milking that $1 plan fee on Cash+) as well.  I had already scheduled a payment for the statement balance, but decided to cancel it and do a plan for a couple of larger purchases from the previous statement.

As Remedios stated, they are no longer doing these as separate ExtendPay loans where that portion of your balance is conveniently not reported to the bureaus each month, but rather  they have moved to the Amex/Chase/Citi model where you have an adjusted balance that includes your plan payment along with new purchases to avoid interest.

It's been 6 days since I created the plan and still no "adjusted balance" showing on my account.  My payment is due tomorrow so I went ahead and paid my statement balance minus the charges I moved to ExtendPay and then a bit extra.  Fingers crossed that this isn't an oversight on US Bank's part with this change as it pertains to charges from closed statement periods as I don't want to lose my grace period on everything else this month.  I'll report back, but looking at the email, it states:

  • Your ExtendPay Plan payment will be included in your minimum payment due on your credit card each month, beginning with your next statement.

  • You can avoid interest charges on new purchases by paying the Plan Adjusted Balance shown on your billing statement in full each month. Only pay the current balance if you’d like to pay off your entire ExtendPay Plan early. See your Cardmember Agreement for more information.

Sorry to reply many years later, but I am in exact same boat. What happened? Did everything work out okay with your self adjusted payment? Or were there any fees etc?

I initiated an extend pay plan after statement closed and autopay still hasn't adjusted the balance. Payment due 10/3, trying to just pay the two extend pay plan monthly dues since no other charges on that statement.
