USAA credit cards

My usaa credit card is coming up on 6 months in November,  now I know I can request at the 6 month mark, but am I to assume it's a HP or do they sometimes give auto increases?

Yes.  You can request every 6 months  (and it is an HP on Experian).  They also do auto increases -- but who knows how long you'll be waiting to get one -- and you may never get one -- but they claim they review for increases twice per year.

If your CLI request is approved, the amount of the increase is usually worth the HP (based on data points noted here).

Auto-CLIs are not as common on their CCs IME. Even 6 months is a stretch to expect much, but it all depends on how much the CC is used and its history.

But, as far as standard CLIs go, HP is the norm for any requests.

I had 5 inquiries previous 6 months, 34 previous 12 months and 84 previous 24 months when I requested CLI at 6 months and 3 day's (4 cards at 90% utilization). Instant approval, went from $3,000 to $9,000. As always YMMV.

Anything can happen.

The CLI was on my "Rate Advantage" card.
My Fico8 was 729 the day I was approved for CLI. Income 100k+; prior to this increase my next highest major was Citi (Costco) at $5,500.
