OK, so what I have learned about this whole experience...
1. My Amazon account was compromised & the person apped the Chase card while signed in as me (and got instant approval, sending me the "congrats" email)
2. This person abandoned the attempt to use the credit to pay for their items when they were unable to use this credit instantly. Thankfully, I had NO saved payment methods (my store card, debit card, etc.)
3. Although I now know that I can get approved with Chase (when I am ready to app them), due to the fraud that occurred I will have to app @ at a local branch (which is fine with me)
There is a fraud alert on all (3) of the bureaus, any activity reported will be removed (inquiry & trade line)
