If it's the card I'm thinking of, you get approved for a line of credit. At the end of your statement, the balance you haven't paid gets turned into an installment loan. Not sure how it reports or if every loan dings your credit. It could be handy right now for people that need to stretch things out a bit after having hours cut or waiting for unemployment.
