When you purchase something with PayPal Credit, it will put it under Special Financing Purchases and show you the date the promo ends. You have until that date to pay it all off, or else you get charged the interest, and it'll show you how much interest as well. It doesn't split the purchase into equal payments, but rather just calculates your minimum payment and shows that. You can choose to make however many payments you want, but you just need to pay it off before that expiration date.
Also, if you made multiple purchases and have multiple special financing promotions going on at the same time, whatever payment you make will go towards the minimum payment first, then all that plus whatever else you paid gets put towards the purchase that will expire first. Then once that's paid off, the payments will go towards the next purchase. Hope that isn't too confusing.
Also is it possible to move purchases from the Paypal Mastercard to Paypal credit or are they kept strictly apart?

Unfortunately, they cannot be comingled or transfered. Keep in mind that not all PayPal transactions (depending on the merchant or vendor) may qualify under the 6-month promo on PayPal Credit.
Looking at the information in your signature, it seems to me you'd likely have little trouble obtaining another Amex card with 15 months 0% interest, a nice sign-up bonus and cashback or membership rewards, all on a soft pull.
