I'll preface this by saying I'm a guy.
I got the VS because it was listed as one of the cards under SCT. I signed up for 3 Comenity store cards and I got hit with hard inquiries for all 3 of them (Overstock, VS, and Loft). I don't know why I was hit with hard inquiries vs other's who were not, but understand that it's not a sure thing to get a soft pull with SCT. As of now, I'm just waiting for the day Comenity decides to close all 3 cards due to inactivity because I never shop at any of those stores, and I realized after the fact that 2 out of 3 of them cannot be directly upgraded to the Mastercard version. So in conclusion, I'd avoid the SCT unless you really need to build up your credit file and actually shop at these stores
