Still waiting to receive my new Virgin America Visa from Comenity-- I was approved about three weeks ago and have received the separate PIN mailing, but no card. Called Happy Chap backdoor number (consumer relations dept) and was told there is a "production issue" with the embossing of the cards; there is no ETA for resolution/ mailing of the cards. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? Maybe I live under a rock, but I haven't-- My concern is because I have had so many issues with my Comenity cards and a Fraud Alert I placed on my acct four months ago that just wouldn't fall off of Equifax for some reason; I was wondering if this could possibly (yet again) be causing the delay. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Plastic shortage, embossing issues? What will they think of next?
Exactly! It is absurd. Any suggestions on where/ who I can call to get a straight answer?
I think you should have requested a supervisor to make sure what you are being told is true. I am a bit surprised they is no ETA.. Strange.

I think having no ETA is better than telling people "it'll arrive sometime next week", and then it doesn't happen.

I think that kinda works but does not instill confidence in the customer.. does it?
Comenity is notoriously very slow with mailing documents and/or cards. I hate to tell you this but it's unlikely you will find anyone at their company who will give you a straight answer.
Hey, thanks for all the replies.I got so aggravated thinking about it, that I called the backdoor number for Security and ID Verification. Spoke with a pleasant rep who, after acknowledging to me that "the credit card machine is broken"is indeed the lamest and most pathetic excuse ever, was as surprised as I to find that this actually is the case!! The "credit card machine IS broken" hahaa. More specifically, I was advised that there really is a production error with that specific card. Probably 7-10 days more til they are received. Really a clown show-- I thought I was in an Impractical Jokers episode or something.
I just got this card in my hands within the last month. It took weeks to get to my house and yes the pin number showed up long before the card. Finally I got a large priority mail envelope in the mail with my new card inside. I did not record the exact time frame but I would guess approval date to card in hands was about 3 weeks.
I too had called customer service and they had no idea. I think what they told you is BS and just an excuse to get you off the phone.
