I was pre-approved by Wamu last year and applied, denied. Reapplied, denied. Reapplied, denied. I think my scores were between 740 and 800. Wamu denies on UTL. I had over 30%. They also deny if your debt is too high even if it represents a low UTL. After they explained this to me I waited, paid off my UTL and was approved for a platinum. I was denied sooo many times by Wamu. Oh but then again I opened a savings account to sweeten the relationship. I know that played a factor in being approved because they told me they were reviewing my accounts with them.
You will need to wait 90 days before you can reapply. When you reapply make sure you have less than 4% UTL 0% even better for Wamu. Open a savings or CD account with them too. Then apply a week later. I believe you are more likely to be approved... with a higher credit line too.
