It seems that new card holders get a "boost."  DS's card came with a brochure for using "Credit Steps" to increase your credit line.  He started at $300 and will automatically move to $500 IF he does the following:

1. Use card in first 90 days
2. Don't go over the credit line
3. Make first 3 monthly payments on time

It remains to be seen if he makes it.

Thanks everybody!  I am so excited.  I have always paid well in advance of the due date.  Now I just have to keep this balance low so it reports!

I received the same increase as well on one of my Cap1 Visa cards when the CL was raised from 500 to 1100 dollars.  I also have another Cap1 Visa that is at 600 dollars now.  Congrats.  I think Cap1 is doing right by me now and they haven't Crap1'nd me yet.

I CALLED THEM FRIDAY AND THE REP GAVE ME A BS LINE TALKING ABOUT THEY DONT HAVE ANY "OFFERS" FOR ME RIGHT NOW!
