Wal Mart store card??

Couple of question for you experts.  So I am interested in getting the Wal Mart store card because I do shop there every week for my groceries but I am wondering if when applying is it a soft or hard pull because I don't want to waste a hard pull for it because I already have six and in Aug I will be joining DCU and applying for a car loan so that will be 2 hard pulls right there and trying to keep it under ten. Took me a long time to get it down for longest time when I was young and didn't know better I had like 18-20 inquries on there all the time I have smarten up since them HAHAHA.  The other question I filed BK last year was discharged 10/13 I did include a GEMB JCP card for like 300-400 dollars so am I going to be black listed with them or will they show me a little love HAHAHA!! Well thanks again for all of yor input and expertise!

GE cards pull TU.  GE will not blacklist, but tend to prefer people who are at least 24 months out of BK.  However, some members get back in earlier and some have more difficulty...definitely YMMV.

Re: Wal Mart store card??

My bk7 was discharged in August 2013, and 6 months later in February (this year-2014) I was approve for JCP, Walmart, and Gap, then in March, Approved for 76 has card, then this week, Amazon! I burned GE in my BK too, and gap, Walmart, and JCP were all IIB as well. So, depends on the person an the credit file I suppose. I currently have 5 GE accountsSmiley Happy
