Maybe i am in a batch that will be closed :-\

Considering that they stopped issuing WM cards since then. I'm pretty sure you meant Quicksilver.

No sir. The card they sent me to replace my expired Walmart card is a Walmart card plain as day. Account number is the same, says Walmart on the card and the online banking says walmart. They did not replace it for some odd reason.

How do I know? I'm just making an observation from what could been the case? I don't know how this is functioned.

Re: Walmart Capital One Rewards changing to Quicksilver!

Cap One is the worst of my credit cards and the worst of banks for me. I absolutely hate when I need to call their customer service for anything. I can't get a cli on my Savor card. They're ..randomly.. strict about closing accounts if you don't have a balance and zero activity every 180 days. A cash transfer from my outside bank into my Crap One checking account takes about 6 business days to process. Just ridiculously stringent and tedious. I avoid if possible.

The only reason I have a Cap One card to begin with is they are a little more lenient than other banks about issuing unsecured credit cards to people who are rebuilding. If you're not rebuilding, they are not competitive with other credit unions or banks in my experience.

Ok, rant over. Had to get that out.  Smiley Very Happy

Re: Walmart Capital One Rewards changing to Quicksilver!

It looks like online my Walmart changed over to QS today. Says the last 4 of my account # changed, but I haven't received any replacement card yet. Has anyone else received the card repalcement? I'd look through this post to see, but that's like 17 pages of searching lol.

Re: Walmart Capital One Rewards changing to Quicksilver!

This was kind of a comedy of errors.

I received an email telling me my Quicksilver had been mailed.  A day or 2 later I received an email telling me I could get another card in place of the Quicksilver. Since I have had a Quicksilver for a long time, I know it is a terrible rewards card so I chose a Savor. I had no need for the Venture cards, etc. I then received the Quicksilver and set it aside as I really didn't want it. A couple of days later I received the Savor card. I was wondering why they had issued the QS if they were going to offer me a choice of other cards. I had 2 new cards and the card numbers were no where similar to the Walmart card. I called Cap 1 and that was a real experience that I don't want to repeat!!

Anyway, I shredded the QS and kept the Savor. But, am I wrong in that one of the emails or USPS mailings said the numbers would not change?

Thanks and have a wonderful weekend!!

Re: Walmart Capital One Rewards changing to Quicksilver!

Quicksilver just showed up on my app yesterday with the Walmart card number. Today it shows a different number. I suppose as long as it doesn't affect my age of accounts, I don't card what number it is. I won't be using the QS anyway. Since the Walmart card is gone forever with it's great benefits, I'll only be using my Savor One for utility bills and use my Navy Fed cards for everything else.

Re: Walmart Capital One Rewards changing to Quicksilver!

@BudC2 Same here. Paid off the card, and the QS will be retired to the drawer. What sucks is the 3% groceries for savor won't even work at Walmart where we purchase a lot of our home necessities.

Mine converted online on October 8th. Just received the physical QS card on October 31.

I went with the Savor as well after they sent me the Quicksilver first. Then received an email saying i could upgrade. I have no need for the either of the Venture cards because I haven't flown in years and would likely use my Chase Saphire Preferred if I did. And yes, Quicksilver is a terrible 'rewards' card.

Question: Did Capital One originally say the credit card number will remain the same or that it would change?? I was hoping it would not change so there would not be a new card on my credit report.

Thank you.

The number stays the same but you get a new ex date and three digit cvv code

My number changed.
As I understand it, if you have the Wamart Retail card the number will change. If you have the Walmart Mastercrd the number will stay the same.
I did not need another Quicksilver but on the plus side, I have an old Quicksilver for several years with a fixed 9.9% APR. I was able to move 4500 of my available 5k limit from the new QS (Walmart acct) with 27.65 APR over to my old one with the 9.9% APR. Would not let me move the entire available limit so new card has 5oo sitting on it.
