Same situation but I already have the Savor so I'm probably doing the venture one because I don't like how the QS looks
@Legal_Girl wrote:I went with the Savor as well after they sent me the Quicksilver first. Then received an email saying i could upgrade. I have no need for the either of the Venture cards because I haven't flown in years and would likely use my Chase Saphire Preferred if I did. And yes, Quicksilver is a terrible 'rewards' card.
Question: Did Capital One originally say the credit card number will remain the same or that it would change?? I was hoping it would not change so there would not be a new card on my credit report.
Thank you.
The number stays the same but you get a new ex date and three digit cvv code
There is a $250 bonus on the savor right now. I rather do that than product change even with the 2/3 hard pulls. I stil haven't received my QS either.
How long after the transition from WM to QS online before you received the actual physical card? Mine showed online on 10/8 but still no QS caerd has arrived.
Has anyone else's account NOT transferred over to a new QS card yet?
I got a letter but can't remember what date it had on it and my account still says I still a WalMart credit card. Nothing has changed.
just hoping I'm not the only one here lol
I was informed that my Capital One Walmart card was converting to Quicksilver but before I received the card, Cap 1 offered to upgrade my QS card to either a Savor or Venture card and I chose the Savor. They still sent me the QS card with the same number so I will likely cut it up because I'm sure they won't let me keep both cards with the same number but different code. Anyway, I was very happy with the swap because I never used the Walmart card but since it switched to Savor, I have about 12 automatic bill payments running through it each month for the 3% rewards on groceries and dining, etc. Hopefully the increased usage will get me a higher credit limit than the 2K that I started with.
@Waldemar wrote:What a disappointment! Changing to a QS. I already have a QS, so if I can transfer the available credit to my existing account, I'll be closing my old Walmart card soon to be QS.
Sweet! I ended up transferring the available credit limit to my Savor and closing the QS, as I already had one.
You are not alone. I still have the Walmart card. I'm waiting to see if I still get cash back after a transaction I made this weekend.
@DanteJuan95 wrote:Considering that they stopped issuing WM cards since then. I'm pretty sure you meant Quicksilver.
@RootDet wrote:I called in becuase i had a activate card message for what seemed like ever. They sent me a new walmart card. CS said there is no letter on my account for when i would be converted.
Maybe i am in a batch that will be closed :-\
No sir. The card they sent me to replace my expired Walmart card is a Walmart card plain as day. Account number is the same, says Walmart on the card and the online banking says walmart. They did not replace it for some odd reason.
