Damn. What is the reason for denial? Home Depot is baked by Citi. Before applying, it could be better if your scores increase to mid 600s.
I have found GE cards being the easiest to get (besides Cap, Credit and all the rebuilder cards)

I may app for them again in Sept or October 2012 after I pay off my other cards. I use Walmart a bit, but I'd rather have a gas card, AMEX, or Home Depot.
try again before december, you might get approve... i would think that target is harder to get.... but i guess, just wait it out for now.... i would recommend that you should apply when your scores are in the high 500's, your chances might be better ... my scores were in the very low 500's last year and i got approved for cap one unsecured with $300 limit.. after a year or less of good payment, a couple of collections pfd and new tradelines, my scores boosted 100+ points...
backed by Citi? I'll never get it then. I thought they were GE, where there is a chance. Citi outside of secured, only deals with prime. Walmart said:
HIGHEST RATIO OF REVOLVING BALANCE TO CREDIT LIMIT IS TOO HIGH
ACCOUNTS IN
COLLECTION OR 60 DAYS PAST DUE OR ADVERSE PUBLIC RECORDS
AVERAGE RATIO OF
REVOLVING BALANCES TO CREDIT LIMITS IS TOO HIGH
HIGH RATIO ACCOUNTS 30+ DAYS
PAST DUE TO ACCOUNTS OPENED 3+ MONTHS
Lalalala. I have no open collections post-BK. None of my accounts are past due. The only thing I will agree on is my balances were up there because of my move to Atlanta.
I would like to know if it easer to get approve if I apply online or go to the store to apply for the walmart?
I think online application will be easier.. Our got approved with 300CL
im a big fan of this card, mainly because of the TU08 fico score, but also because it is one of few cards that do soft pulls every 4 months for CLI. It helps a lot, i recently just got mine but if its anything like my milstar then it will be a great card to have.
Credit does not care if you apply in person, through mail, or online.
@doc101 wrote:When applying online, is there "instant approval" or the dreaded "you will be notified in 5-7 days?"
I got an instant approval today.
I was denied and when I called they told me to check with TransUnion and wait sixty days. I pulled my TU report and no collections. But their denial letter said I have multiple accounts in collections and/or sixty or more says delinquent. The only credit I've gotten since bankruptcy I've never been late on. He finally told me to go to the store and apply in thirty days and if denied, they could pull the app and manually review. But he couldn't do it then because the computer made its decision. So I asked what's to stop them from telling me the same thing in the store. I called a day after I applied, was told app denied wait for TransUnion. Ordered TransUnion today and told wait and reapply in store then the underwriter can help......Target gave me a card. What gives?
