Re: Want to Apply for Marriot, CSP, or Hyatt

I'd go with CSP and Marriott.

I got about $500 from the sign up bonus on CSP
And currently, I already got my first free night at a Cat 4 hotel (would have been about $150) from Marriott PR.
Also, I'm currently looking at a hotel that's $600+ a night in Miami Beach and 60k of the 70k bonus points Im getting will cover that for two nights during spring break(perfect weekend getaway!!) So that's over $1300 total bonus value for Marriott if I book that.

The Hyatt sign up doesnt seem to be as lucrative...
Of course, redemption rates play a huge role in final value of bonuses.

After these bonuses, I might just be willing to pay some AFs.

Also , Marriott treats Elite Lifetime members like royalty. That's what I've experienced so far!!! Lol
Marriott PR$25k | BCE $24.5K |BankAmericard Visa $25k| BOA Better Bal $17.5k |Wmt Discover $12.5k | BR Visa $17.5k | Amex Delta Gold $10k | Discover IT $10k | Paypal Extras MC $15k | Amazon Store $10k|Smile Gen $7.25k | Dillard's $10k | West Elm $4k| Express $3.05K | Mypoints.com Visa $4.5k | Freedom Visa $1k| Amex Surpass $1k

Re: Want to Apply for Marriot, CSP, or Hyatt

I actually went with the Hyatt yesterday afternoon. I was approved for $12,000. I called to check status of CSP and was declined because too many chase accounts. The CSR was really nice and reviewed but gave me the same answer. Although she did say that once the Hyatt was generated to my account that I could give a call back and rearrange  some credit around to open up the CSP! She said she absolutely saw no risk on my profile (:  I asked if I could do a CLI with the same report and no other HP but unfortunately she said it would be another HP.

So I have a:

Hyatt: $12,000

Freedom: 2,300

Amazon Visa: 1,800

I rarely use the Amazon Visa now and I only use the Freedom for the 5% categories. The Hyatt I really only plan on using because of the annual free nights and whenever I pay for a Hyatt hotel, unless I get more points on the CSP?

What do you guys think I should reearrange to open up the CSP!? What I like about having the Hyatt so high is that when I get soft pulled from other lenders maybe I could get a bigger increase.

Your CSP and Hyatt require a minimum of 5,000 CL each, and the Freedom and Amazon are 500. You could do:

10,100 Hyatt

5,000 CSP

500 Freedom

500 Amazon.

5,000 Hyatt

600 Freedom

500 Amazon

Re: Want to Apply for Marriot, CSP, or Hyatt

What irks me about this post is that issuers don't ask for projected salary, they ask for actual income. I question the ethics of treating a semester's worth of co-op income like you would be earning that amount over the entire year.

Re: Want to Apply for Marriot, CSP, or Hyatt

I understand your point, and all I can really say is that I wasn't thinking at the time and basically treated it as a whole year thing. I can say that I will be graduating August, and my odds are higher on getting the full time job with Toyota in which case I would make more, but then again just like applying for credit, there are no guarantees.
