seeing a lot of branch prequalify's.....is that different from the online prequalify

Yes if you are over 5/24. It worked for me.
It definitely was a splash for me. I've been wanting to get in on the UR point system for about three years now. After seeing so many people get approved on the 15th, I was stoked. My entrance into the rewards program couldn't have come on a better Chase card. With the bonus to boot! I will say that it was also fun participating in the hype even if it was just hype. It was like a New Year's watch party. Just without the music and drinks.

It was a splash for sure
Meh lol

Not possible to be a dud. Just because a lot of people aren't eligible due to too many accounts, that doesn't make the card bad. It's pretty excellent for it's market.
Meh not really ... Outside of the signup bonus your basically getting $300 in Airtravel or whatever ( I never cared for the card so i never bothered to research it) and 3X points on travel and dining?
@Xistaben2 wrote:For the folks that are getting the CSR this year with the 100k bonus, it is a no brainer splash. They are basically paying folks $1750 to have this card for a year.
100K UR's with base value of $1500 after 50% redemption bonus, 2 x travel credits at $300 each, $100 redemption for TSA Precheck and Global Entry.
1500 + 300 + 300 + 100 = 2200 - 450 = 1750
And that is before any points you earn via the actual rewards structure. A churner's wet dream.
You are assuming people value using Chase UR portal for Travel... I do not and never really did. IF i apply for this card it would be for the 100k points which I would just move to my Chase Freedom or Sapphire and than close the Reserve for a gross ernings of $550 in CB...

I think that's going to be the new normal though, tougher requirements on cards with large bonuses, and we need to get used to it. Banks are done handing out bonuses like candy at least for right now. So in that sense yes it's a dud.
For someone who can justify it long term it's a great card but like anything, it's not great for everyone.
Meh the card is a pretty big dud for long term IMHO. You can make more points with TY points per dollar spent with it's catagories for the Prestiege and I personally view TY points higher than UR atm...

TY points with Prestige AA ends on July 2017. Also, w/ Freedom, Freedom Unlimited and Ink+ combination UR can make more points w/ per dollar spent and have better tranfer partners and 1.50 vs. 1.25 in 2017 for Prestige.
I have Prestige and I'm disappointed in the nerfing of AA lounge, 1.60x on AA and golf.

As i said countless times before Meh. I don't care for Chase partners with the exception of the Marriott and use UR as CB basically or on Amazon. I still rather go with Citi and TY points post 2017 split than deal with Chase...

My comments were saying it's a dud for the long-term, in addition the ability to double dip UR at 1.50x and book a Marriott stay and get Marriott rewards also is better than transferring points because Marriott points suck in value. The same goes for Hilton. The 1.50x is so much better than AA 1.60x because it can be used for hotels and other airlines if you chose to.
I'd suffer with Chase if I had to for some great point rewards on spend. The card clearly lack travel perks though.
