Re: Watch Out! - HSBC lowering CL's

Ebbers self-reported to Oakdale Federal Correctional Institution in Oakdale, Louisiana on September 26, 2006, driving himself to the prison in his Mercedes.[22] He is serving his sentence as inmate #56022-054 [23] in the low-security portion of the complex, which typically houses non-violent offenders and is built more like a school dormitory. The earliest date he can be released is in July 2028, at which time he will be over 85 years old.[24]

You call it prison? It sounds like a resort.

I don't care what it sounds like, "he's in there"...for the next 25 plus years. And the Oakland Federal prison isn't a country club. It's a low security facility for non-violent offenders. You can try and convince yourself of that if you would like. But these guys aren't being feed lobster and cracked Crab and playing golf. But in any case the fact remains is that he's in there for the next 25 and thats where they all need to go. PERIOD

Re: Watch Out! - HSBC lowering CL's

HSBC got me too! and get this. I just dropped 500.00 on my HSBC through them. They lowerd my limit 600.00  causing my utilization to bounce right back up Smiley Sad and I contested that. I had just paid off all my lil credit cards!!! 2 months prior!!! They claim they took a "snap shot of my credit...I told them it was BS as i had just paid off all my CC. I asked if it had anything to do with the economy? she said no.....yeah right. then the dumb ass proceeds to ask me if i want to purchase the sorry ass credit protection program!!! i said how in the world can you ask me that after you basically tell me with my CL decrease that you cant trust me??? now you want me to tack on 9.99 a month??? gimme a break!I also said what if i had only payed minimum would you have still lowerd my CL $600.00? i mean c'mon! heres the kicker. I vowed to myself to only send minimum payments from this point on and NEVER use it again. I mailed my min payment on the 19th, it wasnt due till the 28th. They conveniently didnt recieve it till the 30th causing me a late fee and overlimit fee! I called them furious....said i wouldnt recomend them to ANYONE. that they were scamming consumers and it was BS....they said they would reverse the charges since i had been a valued customer for a year.....screw HSBC! i will NEVER use this card AGAIN....

Re: Watch Out! - HSBC lowering CL's

i wanted to add that I didnt know anything about my Decrease until i attempted an advance and was denied....so I called and thats when i got word of it. A recording said i had a "block" on my account that was now lifted and i could wait for CS to come on if i wanted. I wanted to so I could find out what this block was all about. Thats when she told me i had a decrease.....I recieved my bill the following week, I still had same limit. The following week i recieved a "letter" that they were decreasing my limit. Thanks for the heads up HSBC....this was/is a Bestbuy HSBC platnium MC......im not sure if all HSBC is the same????
