Wawa CLI - what's the secret/criteria?

Already denied once for a Wawa (Citi) CLI, didn't expect a HP at the time. Approved for $500 over five months ago, use Wawa nearly exclusively, and drive enough to burn through twice that in a cycle, so I'm finding myself in an announing use/pay/use/pay cycle. But they don't seem to want to budge, despite my scores being better than they were when approved. They seem to do a HP on EQ for CLI request. Maybe I'll wait till my scores go up another 20-30 points and try recon instead of initiating another HP.  Anybody experience auto-CLIs from them (or any other store card by Citi?)  Interestingly, Home Depot, also Citi, raised my limit 50% in the same time period.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I thought I'd bump your post since you haven't gotten any replies. Have you tried searching these forums for "Wawa CLI"?

Re: Wawa CLI - what's the secret/criteria?

Sorry OP, Wawa is only in the east coast - I think mainly in PA and NJ and whoever is not from those states will not know what Wawa is. I suggest to call their customer service to see what is their process for CLI. I wish Wawa was here in the NV - I LOVE their coffee! LOL ---> coffee addict <---- Smiley Happy when I went their back in May I brought home 4 bags of coffee with me haha

I love Wawa's. I don't know particularly about this card, but it seems a pretty good rule of thumb to wait 6 mos between CLI's. Did you get a letter yet? What did it cite you?

Remember a HP pulls you out of the garden so beware!

Edit: I got confused.

Re: Wawa CLI - what's the secret/criteria?

My experience is they opened my DW at $800, asked for a CLI on activation, they bumped her to $1000, at 6 months after the statement cut request a CLI to $2000, granted. She typically runs maybe $300 through the card per month.

That's helpful.  I'll probably try again after February, when a number of factors should bump my scores up significantly.

Re: Wawa CLI - what's the secret/criteria?

Update for data points, for the few Citibank/Wawa cardholders that might be interested:

This cycle brought a $200 auto-CLI. Here are the potential data points that may have driven it:

9 months longevity

Overall util recently dropped from 30%ish to 13%ish

Last collection dropped off in the last month

Four users on the card, pretty good spend and PIF more than once a month.

Now that I know they do at least occasionally auto-CLI, I won't bother wasting a HP with them. Now let's home my Citi/Home Depot card has a similar result.

I've been debating getting this card. I almost exclusively use Wawa and typically refill twice a week so it would be worth it....it gives a discount on the price every time you pump right?
