Weird Discover....found out something new

I received a CLI from discover about a week ago. Didn't think my CLI would be updated on my CR until my statement cut. Well I pulled my report today to check on another matter and surprise the limit was updated. But............ with one catch.  I PIF every month.......so it updated my CR with a balance.        I was in the middle of my statement period.  I hope it updates again once my statement cuts.

Updating right away after a CLI is normal. But it will update again for your statement, so you shouldn't worry too much about lost points, you'll likely get them right back.

Unless you are shopping credit, in the middle of an app or closing that will pull your CR, this won't affect you.  FICO is a snapshot of a particular moment on your CR.  It is not like bodyweight that is residual.
