Weirdest Barclay's offer yet.

It seems that Barclay's wants to turn my account profitable (get my card out of SD). This is definitely not the way.

I got a letter yesterday with an offer for an automatic CLI balance transfer. The offer stated that if I used one of the enclosed balance transfer checks for up to $1100 (my current CL) that I would get an automatic CLI for the amount of the transfered balance.

I would arbitrage it just to boost the limit, but I don't really need the room for util, and they charge a 4% BT fee & 3.99% APR on the BT.

Re: Weirdest Barclay's offer yet.

That's the offer I keep getting... I owe them like $2200 out of 6500, so I'll prob pay that off and write myself a check for a few thou, just to avoid my 0% bal xfer ending. Lord knows Id rather pay 3.99% then 24.99% LOL

Re: Weirdest Barclay's offer yet.

I know. I also received an email from them about the apple 0% financing offer. It seems they now offer 18months for purchases of 1999 and up. And if I spend more than 1000 buying apple products I get $10 statement credit. I was gonna buy the new imac but they are not coming out until early 2013 and this offer ends last day of december.

Re: Weirdest Barclay's offer yet.

No it's definitely not a good offer, I just thought it was funny how they're trying to pray off people wanting a bigger CL.

I'm wondering if they'd just give me the CLI to buy a retina MBP? I would think so, I've been at 1100 for over a year.
