Thanks to @coldfusion for helping guide me. I finally got my new Rewards+ linked with my Double Cash and Custom Cash to pool their Thank You Points and give some R+ benefits to my DC+CC (takes a phone call to citi to link accounts). It wasn't totally evident to me that I would get the extra 10% on redeemed TYPs with my DC and CC so I did a test. Last night, I redeemed 1,000 TYPs ($10) as direct deposit from my Custom Cash card (not my R+ card) and, sure enough, I got the extra 10% (or 100 TYPs, or $1) applied to my pool of points. This is great. It essentially makes my CC a 5.55% CB card and my DC a 2.22% card (up to an extra $100/year). It made my R+ welcome bonus worth $222 (as opposed to $200). It allows points earned with the R+ to be worth a full penny (actually 1.1c, lol) when redeemed for true cash back instead of 0.5c with the R+ alone (or 1c for gift cards). And, I'm really digging this round up to the nearest dime (11 cents actually, lol) as my wife is always asking for me to get her large iced coffees from McD for 99 cents, lol.
I would have had no idea that you could link citi cards like this and give a 10% redemption boost from the R+ to the DC and CC if it was not for this forum, so thank you!
Yay you!!!! Congrats
That's a great data point.
That's awesome - congrats!
