Different FICOs have different calculations. There may be one way to optimize one FICO, but not good for the other FICO. They may look at different things.

As a rule, doing the right things to build your credit FILE, will also build your credit SCORE - regardless of scoring model. I'm not talking about optimization tricks like manipulating utilization and credit mix - I'm talking about the basics, like paying everything on time and never paying late - those are universal.
