So, as part of my promise to myself to close down some credit once I started obtaining better cards, this morning I closed the following cards.......
Didnt effect my util reporting (still 1%), and the cards were just challenge cards the last few years post BK anyways. Not worth keeping them open, and maintianing them with a small $5-$20 charge monthly to keep active, plus the apr's were ridiculously high 24-27%.
Closed today: Grand Total.....$75,650
Kohl's----$400
Crate&Barrel....$18,250k
Neiman Marcus....$28k
Sears Mastercard....$4k
Dillard's AMEX....$5k
Ebates Mastercard....$12k
Banana Republic Visa....$8k
At the end of the year, Ill have 4-5 more, and then I'll be set. I feel good about this!!
You closed what I just opened lol.
Awesome! Always good to refine your credit portfolio, keep up the good work.

Thanks Discover! Im wanting big CLI's with Penfed and Alliant later end of year, so shedding some credit now will be worth it in the end! Plus I still have a ridiculously amount of availble credit, LOL..its not like Im hurting here, ha!
Awesome pizza! My plan is to eventually close my store cards as well and have a select few GOOD cards with higher limits. And in the grand scheme $75k isn't that much.....
Nice work on that pizza.
Those limits that you nursed along should look good whenever an app of yours goes to Underwritings.
They like seeing Closed By Consumer account's with high figures. Self-Discipline! Good Management!
Congrats on the purge. I am getting ready myself to drop a couple of my cc's too!
Congrats!
