Assuming no AF, no travel perks, and weak or no protections (travel insurance, warranties, etc)...
Maybe 5%-6%
4% buys my loyalty.

That actually exists. At least for the first year, but you could always close and reopen a new account every year

And there we were about to offer you a 75% cashback card. Glad we didn't waste our time!
5% on everything would buy my absolute loyalty since despite this set back with the PayPal Business Debit, I’ve got 3% groceries with NFCU More Rewards, 3% internet/cell with BBVA, 5% back on Amazon with the Prime Store Card, 5% rotating categories with Disco, and still 2% on everything else with my PayPal Cashback.
I would take 4% if I could keep Disco and Amazon in my wallet too.
The vast majority of my spend is Amazon and utilities so I’m actually pretty solidly covered since I don’t eat out at all.
Obviously, no matter how much cash back a card offers, I will always have backup cards like Old Reliable (Cap1 QS) as well.
