Yes, I knew about Cap one but never heard of Merrick.  Why do you recommend them?

Starter card that does not take advantage.

They have a 6 or 7 month double your CL program.

No annual fee.

I have never paid a penny in interest or fees.

It will not grow with you after the first limit raise, but it does not take advantage of you either.

YMMV.

I was on their website and I saw I could only respond to a mail offer? I could only apply for the secured card.

Merrick is invite only. They are pretty generous if you can get in.
