What cards should I go for next and when?

I'm looking at what to do next and I apologize for this long winded post, but I want to provide you with all the relative info to give you guys the best possible information to give me your best suggestions.

BR discharged 3/15/13

Median CS: 635 <I haven't signed up for MyFico yet until I'm closer to apping

Current Utilization - 2%

AAoA - 2 yrs 1 month

Current Cards:

BOA Cash Rewards AU - $7,000 (6 yrs 2 months)

Cap 1 QS WMC - $5,000 (7 months)

Cap 1 Venture One - $3,500 (7 months)

Barclay Rewards - $1,500 ( 8 months)

Merrick Bank - $1,000 (1 yr 1 month) <Will be getting rid of this account within a month

Credit One - $1,000  (1 yr 8 months) <Will be getting rid of this account within a month

Goal Cards:

Discover It

Sallie Mae

American Express <I know not real possible until BR falls off or a year left to report

Achieva CU Visa

Possibly Chase (It'd be nice to have, but not drooling over it)

I wasn't going to apply for anything until at least my 2 year mark of being discharged which would be April 2015.

I just tried pulling my Experian report for my annual pull and it said I already have, but I certainly haven't as I have only been on annual credit report once and that was only 5 minutes ago. So for now I can give detailed EQ and TU reports.

With all that info. What cards will I have the best chances for? Would I have better chances after my 2 year of discharged mark or should I wait until closer to the end of the year once everything falls off for 2015? I'm in a debacle wondering if I should wait until the end of the year or not. Also, my CS hasn't budged much in the last 6 months. I wonder what gives? Utilization is low, accounts have fallen off, and I got CLI's. Please help. Thanks.

Yes I would wait.  You have a nice mix of credit cards in your line up.

Thank you for the wealth of knowledge I have learned from these forums. I am logging off as of November 9, 2022. I wish everyone great success.

With all those negatives I don't think even a 675 would get you a worthwhile approval with any of those lenders Smiley Indifferent

I would wait.

So then should I keep the 2 crappy cards open for padding then?

I would dump the Credit One and keep the Merrick for now. The latter provides a free TU TU08 Bankcard Enhanced score.

Re: What cards should I go for next and when?

Ok great. I'll be getting rid of them shortly and I'll keep Merrick. Hopefully I'm coming up on a CLI with them too.

So so are you guys suggesting I don't app until late 17' until everything is off except the BR?
