The couple of extra bucks from carrying numerous credit cards is not worth keeping them in my wallet. In terms of payment cards, I have 1 debit and 2 credit. Occasionally I would add another card, but no more.

1 debit and 1 credit, rest stays at home
2 major credit cards (Visa for emergencies, Discover for everyday purchases cuz of the cashback), 1 store (Walmart) and my Debit Card.
Chase Freedom, AMEX BCE, US Bank Cash+, FT Knox Visa Platinum (5% on gas), and 20+5$ change so i can give tips and use them for vending machines...
This way i am covered all around no matter what or where I shop....

Why would you use the PRG for gas and only get 2 points per dollar spent when you could get 3% cash back with the BCP?

chase freedom (anything $10 or under; maxed out cap on Q4 things. sadly enough, had to put a hotel on the amex for the 2% instead because of the $1500 cap)
discover it (replacing citi forward in Q1 2013)
fidelity amex (2%)

driver's license obviously
covers pretty much everything i need on a daily basis.
