Re: What is the ultimate trophy card for the average every-day person?

I never had a miss payment on anything but like I said I have been denied. So your facts are a bit wrong.

I do agree credit companies do give these college students cards only because they know most will probably run it up and have high balance, great for interest. I don't understand why but I guess these credit card companies get them with on  high interest rates. To me it makes no sense. Then again they could still have good credit.  But like I said I have many cards I for reason they want my credit score higher. When my utl cli is less than 20% I'm in the 750. I would probably be in the 800s if I kept it around 5%. I am female and love to shop so who knows....lol. I still think they are great cards though.

Re: What is the ultimate trophy card for the average every-day person?

I don't know if I'd call them 'trophy' cards, but pretty much any card that allows me to sit at the front of the plane, is a card that I want to have (right now, that is primarily CSP, Delta AMEX Plat, and AMEX PRG...if the sign up bonus goes on on the Freedom, I will add that as well).

Re: What is the ultimate trophy card for the average every-day person?

For me it was Amex BCP.  Now that I've got it I'm moving to low interest cards  I have my eye on DCU and Barclay Ring, possibly Citi Simplicity as I have no Citi cards either.  I have a ton of rewards cards but no low interest cards so that's my next project.

I'm actually surprised by the cards I have been getting with my lack of income and history.

My goal:

Any Amex

BCE

Freedom

Discover it

So far:

Amex Green

BCE

Discover it

For some reason, chase keeps rejecting me.

Re: What is the ultimate trophy card for the average every-day person?

I have several cards I'm hoping to get in the near future, but as far as a "trophy card" goes, CSP.  Hopefully I can get it within the year.  After that, I won't be apping for a while.

I just want a metal credit card.
