What major lender will approve a secured credit card with out a job ?

City,  Discover, BOA , US BANK.  I'm  not interested in cards that do not up-grade to unsecured cards  , Any advice on this will be great, thanks.

What are you going to do with it?   Do you have other source of income to pay it each month?

It is for my son just to get a head start on hi credit . Today is his 21 st birthday.

US Bank allows joint accounts, that might an option for you and your son. .

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, or an AU account if OP has credit already.

No one has actually answered the question.     I don't know, but my guess would be no.   You might just call them and ask them.     BofA website has online chat.  sometimes helpful, sometime not.

I agree with Wolf3 about contacting them, it can't hurt.

I've read about some college students getting credit without having jobs, don't recall if they listed grants or so as income, so it may be possible.
