Five-- 4 of them over a couple of consecutive days and the 5th a couple of weeks later in the same month. All approved.
Maximun I did was 2 in 1 day. Not really a lot of apps here, got approved for both and canceled my older cc. So happy with those 2.
RE: Be sure to try and use multiple browsers at the same time.
I don't agree with that. Inquiries will show up one right after the other, regardless of how you apply. You can't fool them by trying to be sneaky.
I've done 4 in one day, all approved, I ended up closing 1 within 2 weeks of having it. Waste of an inq. But you live and you learn.
It won't fool them, but it the inq will all age at the same time, so th 1 year mark is a set date not 3-4 different dates.

Right, and also, with inquiries, there's a diminishing effect on the amount it reduces one's score. After 3 or 4, there's almost no effect, as opposed to "one" with a clean slate.
Much more "bang for the buck" to string along 5+ inquiries in a short time, as opposed to "one" every 6 - 8 months.
Geez, i must be a lightweight here. The most i've done at one time is 3, as i was afraid of pushing my luck. I didn't want to see that dreaded decline message. Fortunately, they were all approved, but i've been gardening for over 8 mos now, and am preparing for another app spree in the next day or so.

Anything above 3 or 4 carries with it some "added" risk for AA. Doesn't mean it'll happen, but unless there's a compelling reason, I'd stick with 3 per quarter, which seems to never elicit AA.
I just signed up for 5 new accounts over the past 3 days, 4 CC and 1 CU. Three approved so far, CU membership and 1 CC pending.
I don't see myself going on another spree for a very long time. I feel I've obtained a good mix of cards for my needs.
Only recently from reading here, did I understand any reason to spree. I just accumulated many of mine this year as I wanted to stop leaving bonus money and cash back on the table

No denials. But I did have to maintain the same total CL with BofA, and for Walmart Discover, my CL was $800. That looks funny. I got the hint.
