@Anonymous wrote:from my list u can see I haven't opened any cards in 4 yrs but I will open 2 cards this year:
1. Amex BCP - I have had an Amex Corp since 2007 up until Dec 2014 when my company moved to JP Morgan Corp so need to have Amex in wallet fo sho.
2. United MP Club - not sure why i haven't gotten this, I fly at least once a month somwehere and always go united and made it silver status last year so would be nice to have lounge access not just priority boarding and the occasional first class bump.
Will report to this forum when I do so...
Have you apped for these two yet? 4 years no new cards, Chase history, United MP member, generally high limits = two instaprovals for big limts.
How about now? Did you get the apping done yet?
My next card... hm. I don't know - whichever of the ones I really want comes up as preapproval first. Heh. I'm not really a "collector."
Diners Club. If it ever opens up again... I cant believe I let that little gem get away
Now that I got my CSP and this baby's gonna arrive in the mail in just a few days, Chase Freedom is where it's at when that better sign up bonus returns.

My next card is not in the market yet. Waiting for a new exciting card to launch with a good sign up bonus and rewards. New Discover Miles card is not to exciting.

Yeah. I'm not so sure what to make it of it exactly. It's sort of trying to compete with Quicksilver but it tries to compare itself with the likes of Venture and CSP.

I don't know. Getting effectively 3% cashback off of everything for a year sounds pretty good (and then I'd probably sign up DW for a card for a second year of 3%). Some of my purchases which currently go reward-less because of fees suddenly become viable, like my $8k+ in property taxes. The county charges a 2.125% service fee. That makes it not worth putting on a 2% card. But if I have the Discover Miles, then I'm making a profit. Does it trump a $400 signup bonus? Probably not, but still worth considering. So now my "Next" list has to be:
1. CapOne Venture (and then one for DW)
2. Discover Miles
3. Citi Double Cash
4. CCU Visa
5. Sam's Club
I'm not sure I'll ever make it to the garden. But then again, I never really did like vegetables much.
Chris.

With that $8K in prop taxes you can fulfill 2-3 signup bonuses and wind up with a lot more pointage than just $240.

You may be waiting awhile. It seems like they only do the $200 bonus around the holidays from what I've seen.
