No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I've recently opened a few credit cards and they are beginning to appear on my credit report. However, I've noticed some of them post with the credit limit immediately (Barclay's) while others (Chase & Citi) are not showing a limit at all and only a balance. (There's a balance even though I PIF b/c I am using the cards to try to meet minimum spend requirments for bonuses). Anwyay, Chase and Citi just showed up today with no reporting credit limit, which is bothersome because they would've combined for $7K. Instead, it lowered down my credit score by 13 points because they are reporting a balance and not reporting a credit limit. Do you think the credit limits will show up later? This is on the myFico credit score watch thing.
I am interested to know about this as well.
Okay, so I just checked credit karma and it shows the CL on the Citi. It has not detected the Chase acct yet. Come to think of it, the myfico report doesn't show barclay's credit limit even though it appeared on credit karma. Does the myfico score just take longer to post the credit limits???
I think it depends on the bank, but most I see report the new CL when the statement generates (like 3 to 5 days after)
Okay, that's helpful. I just got the statement for the citi account on Friday so it hasn't been a business day yet and Chase hasn't sent me a statement yet.
