My wife has a 663 experian score. One open collection and one card with 1% util. Other baddie is a short sale we had 2 years ago.
aaoa is 7 years and her income is 60k.
Would she qualify for the amex?

I would wait a few months and hope the score goes up a bit imo around 700 EX

Yea its a Ge paypal smart connect card. it was charged off in jan 2014 too. so it is pretty recent
well that sucks. Is there another card she should shoot for? She only has a single cap one platinum for 3 years. They suck at cli's

you can send an Email to the EO for a CLI might have better success for a CLI

January 2014 is very recent and will impact every CC application I would think. And a manual review would pretty much would definitely lead to a denial of any credit seeking behavior.
Can she try to satisfy this charge off? Pay for deletion? Anything like that, because I bet that's the main thing holding her back.
