Anyone have experience getting CC's after BK7. It's now been 5 years and 7 months since my BK7. I tried almost a year ago no luck.
Was USAA IIB?
Yes sir!
It appears it's likely 7 years, but possibly 5:
Hello, I included USAA in my BK7 back in Oct 2013 and was able to get back in and get the USAA Preferred Cash Rewards Visa for $5K on 1/15/2019. I also had access to my checking and savings account for a few years before the credit card approval but never used them as my primary bank.
Hang in there because there is hope to get back in with USAA.
Interesting thanks you got it 5.5 years post BK7 which is where I am at now.
How do you have a 799 score with a BK7 still reporting?
When my BK7 was filed I was able to still have 7 accounts open and reported positively. Also there were no accounts that were ever reported late before after the bankruptcy which also helped. I also had 2 refinanced mortgages.
BTW, 12 remaining accounts that were IIB fell off my reports in October 2020.

The answer for me and my daughter were yes. I burned them for 2 credit cards over 20K. I just pay a nominal amount every week. They both aged off my credit report. They have given me 2 new credit cards and a car loan.
My daughter filed bankruptcy and they allowed her back in.
Good luck!
