When will new credit report to credit bureaus?

I got approved for 2 new cards and when will they start reporting to the credit bureaus? If I don't spend on the cards right away will they not report or will report as $0 balance? I need more credit cards since I only have 1 and I have a car loan and a student loan.

You can not predict for sure.   IMO, Having a balance will increase odds of reporting.
