Would it be incestuous for me to want two Amex cards to get together? I want the looks of my Zync card and the rewards of the PRG card.

Someone a while back said that they were able to link their Platinum and Centurion card so they could use the Platinum and it would be charged to the Centurion instead. It was a while ago, but I am sure I read that on here. So you could ask them and see what they say.

When a company decides to issue a new type of card (say like what Discover did with their It card), is it just one day nothing and the next it appears?  Im curious if there are any new great cards on the horizon.  Is there anyway to track this kind of thing?

Well, when a bank and a customer love each other, they...

In all seriousness, I think that the cards come around to help drive usage so the banks can make money on swipe fees. I think cards are also used to attract banking customers; hence the prevalence of programs that give bonus rewards if you deposit the money into their bank.

Re: Where do new cards come from?

New cards are made when two existing cards love and cherish eachother, after making use of eachother the rewards that are collected are redeemed for calls to a stork which if lucky will result in a quick overnight delivery of the birth of a new card through fed ex, the birth weight heavily depends on the financial stability and history of each parent card, and if everything is good the card should weigh atleast 5g which the the average weight of a typical new card, but if the parents are very responsible a 12g metal card can be born, and once in a million chance a 17g titanium or a 27g palladium baby card can be born into this world.
