Re: Who is on your blacklist?

I don't have a blacklist. I've had both good and bad experiences with all my creditors at one time or another.

Re: Who is on your blacklist?

Let's see, where shall I begin?

1) Household bank: This account has nearly 5 years worth of history with a whopping $800 credit limit. Then of course, I'm on my 4th GW letter asking them to remove a 30 day late pay from six months ago. But hey, at least they didn't CLD me! Oh, let's not forget about that generous interest rate in excess of $29.00%!

Juniper: Another card with a generous $1,450 credit line with an APR exceeding 23%! Yeah Juniper!

Lexus Visa: A super high credit line of $1,000, which was decreased twice from $3,000. They rule!

Capital One: A dangerously high credit line of $750!! You go Capital One! I can't fault them for their interest rate, which is around 6% but with a CL of $750, what can I actually charge? Well, I guess a Blockbuster new release every now and then.

Capital One: 14 month old card, frozen CL of $500.$19 AF. <---what the hell for?

Credit One:  3 year old card, frozen CL of $1000 <-----$7 monthly + $7.95 to pay online. Are you serious?!?

Never late on either, clean files as of September. Scores mid 700's.

Re: Who is on your blacklist?

HSBC is at the top of my list - gave me a CLD from $3500 to $300, with perfect payment history and a rise in FICO scores. I retaliated by taking all my savings out of their bank and putting it in the credit union (AZ State CU).

Number two is definitely Juniper/Barclay's. They pulled two hards on me in Dec. 2007, never responded to letters or VMs about CLIs, then closed my US Airways card a full month before telling me in a letter.

All others, CapOne, Merrick, Citi, Chase, et al, have been halfway decent to me.

Re: Who is on your blacklist?

That's a pretty severe CLD from HSBC. I'm surprised, especially with scores in the 700s. What type of account? I don't blame you for going elsewhere with your savings.

My scores were probably 700 at the time. It occurred when the news reported that HSBC was going to move out of the CC business to cover losses they sustained during the subprime mortgage debacle.

It was a DMB account, again, perfect payment and frequent use history, rarely carried more than 6% as a balance.

Re: Who is on your blacklist?

Dell/Cit Bank - they have reported wrong information for years now...they sent me a bill just yesterday dated May 28 2009, it's OCt 13th 2009...they have reported me late when I wasn't late. Tried to make phone payments, didn't succeed, sent over Auto pay form, they didn't get it....I can't get through to anyone at a high level in customer service so I write letters. I get no where. they closed my account June of 2005 but report it as open...consistently wrong reporting information. very frustrating...would never finance anything from them again. Terrible experience.

Oh, and my rate is 30%...wtf...never be late. I paid this way down and now have a teeny little balance I plan to just pay off in the next two months...

I dont' care for First Premier, but they were there for me when I needed to have that card, high fees, etc. but that is all I could get at that moment in time.
