You really should have at least one credit line reporting with at least a $5,000 limit on your reports before you go after the Cash+ card as it is a Visa signature card, or even the Chase Sapphire Preferred since that is also a signature card.

Amex might be your best strategy - app for the BCP and if approved, ask for a 3x CLI in 61 days.  That might be the quickest way to reach the $5,000 limit, and then you could pursue the CSP and Cash+ cards.

I agree with this ^^^ I actually just now feel like I would be in CSP or Cash + territory since my 13 yr old discover account is at 5k now

Re: Who's most likely to give me a prime card.....

Thanks for the advice, I'll be applying for AMEX first, in about a month hopefully. Only one thing left on my EX report, waiting for that to fall off.

I may try Freedom and hope I'm not blacklisted or just denied again due to the Providian. The first time I applies was just play out because I still had pretty bad credit. I think the reason was for multiple COs and Collections.

I can PC a freedom to a Sapphire? After 6 months right?

Then when I have one or two cards with 5k or more, I'll apply for Cash+
