Re: Why are backdoor numbers so successful

So how do they reverse the denial? Yeah they take a look in depth into your credit, so do they have the power to approve your app that instant. I see it almso as switching the light on and off.

Re: Why are backdoor numbers so successful

I kind of wonder why they ask questions about things that are obviously right there in front of them if they are looking at your credit report.  For example, do you often make higher payments than the minimum?

Experian Score: 689--Amex 27 July 2014; Equifax Score 680--MyFICO--17 September 2014; TransUnion Score 718-Discover 20 August 2014--PUH-RAISE JESUS, I finally broke 700!!! Cards and Credit Lines: Escape by Discover, Chase Freedom Signature Visa, Chase United MileagePlus Explorer Signature Visa, Chase Sapphire Preferred Signature Visa, Barclay's Holland America Visa, Citibank Custom Credit Line, Paypal Custom Connect Credit Line, Bloomingdale's, Macy's Premier Elite, Amazon Store Card, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom, Discover It, Gold Delta SkyMiles from American Express, PayPal BML.

Re: Why are backdoor numbers so successful

The computers that approve/decline are hard coded to meet certain criteria.

For example, If I apply for Billy Boob's Bank 50% Cash Back Card.

In their computer, its hard coded I need a score of 801 or more, 4 or less inq, and utilization of 3% or less.

The system pulls a report and sees 6 inq, and Declines.

Because I recently bought a brand new Yugo, the delaership pulled, and then pulled 4 banks to get me the best interest rate.

I call the back door number, and explain this to Billy Bob's Bank. A human, then will count the 5 from the recent car as one, sine it's only one attempt at me trying to get new credit, and then looks over the rest and notices I'm actucally pretty credit worthy, even after buying that 80,000 dollar yugo!

Of course theres no Billy Bob's bank, but you get the point.

Re: Why are backdoor numbers so successful

I can understand about reversing a denial from a computer but what about applications that go to 10 day and 30 days reviews aren't those applications reviewed by people so what makes one person approve a application and another person deny an application. I feel like the criteria should be the same for whomever is reviewing the application.

Re: Why are backdoor numbers so successful

Most of the "recon" and backdoor threads posted around here aren't really denials being over turned. For some reason people got the idea that getting a non-instant 7/10/30 day message and immediately calling a "backdoor" number is a reconsideration.

It's not, it's basically cutting to the front of the line to have your application reviewed immediately versus when they get you it in the queue.

Letting them review you while you're on the phone is probably more successful because they don't have to assume or guess at anything, they can ask, plus there's some psychology involved. It's harder to say no when someone is on the phone with you versus blindly clicking decisions on a computer screen -- so they may look further to see if there's a way to fit your application within the approval guidelines.

I have used the recon approach and been denied...reconned twice answer was still no. So your statical grouping is incorrect. If you read further into this site , you will actually see the true beneifts of this site to its many users.
