Good to know. Hopefully lesson learned. I'll update once CapOne updates.
@GApeachy, Ughhhhhh. sure hope they don't close?

Thank yu! Me too. One is an au on the acct. and they can't even remove her now. That's a little odd isn't it? The link is gone. So is the Close acct. link.
UPDATE: Accounts open!
Card #1 available cl has been raised to 50% of the credit limt.
Card #2 Credit limit 100% available.
I'm curious whether card #1 works now. Maybe a small Amazon purchase attempt to see if a sale will go through?
Yeah, I'm curious about that too. The card reports soon and then they'll make a small purchase.
Firstly, congrats on both accounts remaining open! I figured you had a good chance, when they reduced the credit limit on the first card.
This is the second post I have seen of Cap One doing the opposite of what I expected.

Thankyou, very relieved to see a different outcome from the norm.
I have an update.
We see what happened now. He made 2 pymts. to Card #1 and inadvertently made the same 2 pymts. to Card #2 on the same day. Plus two autopays came out that week as well. At least half was paid.
Maybe that's why Cap1 left the accts. open?
It could be! I know these banks like to see more than the minimum payment when it comes to keeping an account active. I am just glad it worked out especially with everything going on in the world. Who knows if credit requirements may continue to tighten.
UPDATE to the UPDATE:
Great News!
This morning the full credit limits have been restored on both cards and both cards work!
