Finally got all three reports clean. I had several old chargeoffs from 7-8 years ago. 2 of them were with Chase that I went back and paid about 4 years ago.
Now that my scores are in the upper 700's and low 800's I'm trying to figure out what my chances are with Chase. Will they let me back in with open arms or training wheels.
I still have a couple months before I'll be under 5/24 so just trying to figure out what my best options are. I really like the benefits of the CSP and FU and can always use a good business card. I know that the Marriot business card isn't affected by the 5/24 rule. So that might be an option as well. (on a side note, does anyone know if a business card from Chase affects 5/24 since it is not on the CRA's but it does show up in their internal files).
I know noone can give me a definative answer. Just trying to see what others have experiences or think might happen.
Thanks in advance.

Sebby is pretty spot on about Chase, and according to him the business card doesn't count. (Under the 5/24 rules)

I think your chances are good, especially since you paid them back.
I also had an old account with them that was charged off; in my case it was an old Providian/WaMu account that migrated to Chase almost exactly as the CO was happening - if I remember correctly by the time I received the new Chase plastic card the account was already shut down.
Fast-forward to September 2016, and I app'ed for the IHG basically to see if Chase would approve me for anything (they didn't have any products I was super-interested in at the time, so I went with the IHG pretty much as a test). The app went to review like many Chase apps will, and a couple of days later I called the automated line to find that I had been approved for $9k at the lowest APR. No recon was needed.
A few months later when the Amazon Visa went to 5% for Prime users I app'ed for it as well, and it was auto-approved but only for $500. While I was pleased with the immediate decision I have a feeling that had it gone to review I would have been given a better credit line, but in any case I got the card (also at the lowest APR). A few months back I was able to move $7k from the never-used IHG to the Amazon with no drama.
TL;DR... YMMV (as always) but I was able to get back in with them after a CO that wasn't paid back, so I think your chances are good.
My experience was similar to UncleB. I had a Providian turn WaMu turn Chase. App'd for CSP instant denial. Called recon, went through interrogation but was approved at $5k. Since then I've have AARP, Ritz, and Amazon all instant approvals and no need for recon. So yes, you can get back in after burning them but it may not be easy. Best of luck to you...
OMG there is life after chargeoff !!
I too am an alumni of Wamu class of 2010. A year ago ( my last app before going into the garden ) I apped for the Amazon Visa and almost instant denial. Reconned and analyst sounded like I had a chance but no go. Only denial reason on letter was prior relationship.
Now that my files are squeaky clean, I might give them a try in a lil while. Im gonna be upset if im double pulled for another denial.
